A Better Story Starts Here...

As a proud Public Benefit Corporation as well as a Certified B Corporation since 2017, Once Upon a Farm was founded on the belief that business can be a force for good. Through our business, we aspire to create positive outcomes for people, communities, and the planet. This intention guides strategic efforts such as expanding access to childhood nutrition, to championing sustainable agriculture and ethical supply chains. Through aligning our purpose with our operations, we seek to build a more resilient business that creates long-term value. Though there is always more work to be done, with each step we take, we are proud that “a better story starts here.”

Environmental Impacts & Actions

We believe environmental stewardship is essential to building a resilient, future-focused business. At Once Upon a Farm, we recognize the importance of reducing our environmental impact while supporting the health of people and the planet. One way we seek to take action on this is through thoughtful ingredient and material sourcing. We are committed to sourcing certified organic ingredients because we know they are not only better for eaters but also have benefits for the health of soil, watersheds, and agricultural communities. And though we can never do away with packaging entirely, we strive to continuously drive packaging improvements that reduce waste and support circularity. Underpinning all of this is how our products are made; we are proud to support the transition to renewable energy through the purchase of renewable energy certificates (RECs). We inventory our Greenhouse Gas emissions on an annual basis and disclose these insights within our Impact Report.

Social Impacts & Actions

Supporting strong, healthy communities is central to our mission of making healthy food accessible to all families. We work to increase access to nutrition through our partnership with the nonprofit organization Save the Children, and by offering a dedicated WIC- approved product line for families who rely on food assistance. We also work to strengthen our supply chain through responsible sourcing practices, including our engagement with the Equitable Food Initiative to promote farmworker well-being and supply chain resiliency. These actions reflect our broader commitment to equity, health, and accessibility.

Governance for Impact Integration

As a Public Benefit Corporation, our commitment to certain public benefits, including social and environmental impacts, are reflected in our PBC articles. Governance plays a crucial role in ensuring alignment between our business and its outcomes for all stakeholders. Our Sustainability Steering Committee, comprised of cross-functional executive leaders, oversees the integration of sustainability and impact initiatives within our business. In addition, we are in the process of establishing an external PBC Advisory Board that will guide the continuous development of our mission and thought leadership on topics material to our business and our stakeholders. Lastly, our commitment to retaining our status as a Certified B Corporation provides a framework of continuous improvement across all impact areas.
